Why We Built Consacrés

Every nurse who has worked a twelve-hour shift with braids, locs, or a protective style tucked under a standard-issue surgical cap knows the problem. The caps are too tight, too thin, or too small to actually protect natural hair through a full shift, let alone a double. Nobody designed them with us in mind, so we did.

Consacrés started with that one frustration and grew into something bigger: a healthcare apparel brand built from the ground up for Black and diaspora professionals, the people answering the call to care for others every single day.

The name means what it says

Consacrés is French for consecrated, or set apart. It's a nod to my Ivorian heritage and to the idea that this work, caring for people at their most vulnerable, is sacred work. You'll see that conviction in the community we're building and the story behind the brand. You won't see it printed across the chest of a scrub top, because faith doesn't need a slogan to be real, and this needs to be wearable under any hospital dress code.

What actually makes these different

The Crown Collection solves the problem that started all of this: satin-lined caps built to protect natural hair and locs through a full shift, not just hold hair out of the way for a photo. The Crown Cap adds an extended back for locs and longer natural styles.

The Brotherhood Collection, coming soon, brings the same obsession with real function to men's scrubs: an athletic fit crew neck, a chest pocket with a clean flap, a zippered sleeve pocket, a cord loop, and mesh ventilation where a long shift runs hot. We're also developing a scrub jacket with a full pocket system built around how a shift actually works.

No magnets, no snaps, and no design detail that isn't earning its place.

Built for people who show up

We're launching with the Called to Heal Scholarship, a $1,000 award for students in any field who want to share what their calling means to them and how they're answering it. We believe the people who choose to care for others deserve a brand that was actually built for them, down to the fabric and the stitching, not just marketed at them.

This is only the beginning. Reserve your first cap (ships by December 1) and be part of the first drop.
